First Idea

The first idea was to have various shots of the country side, focused in different ways and in different shot styles that would then be time lapsed and juxtaposed in post production using split screen during our edit. The split screen would be used to show the difference between a busy pathway and an peaceful hillside which would work but perhaps with the two images side by side, both using time lapse, the screen may be too busy for our audience and the impact of the scenery might be lost. The idea was simple and had practicalities to it, such as not needing actors etc but lacks the sense of place I feel we're trying to convey. I feel that our new idea is more creative and will be more interesting to watch but will still be practical.

The storyboard shows the shot types I thought would be appropriate to the piece and was interesting to draw out because it sparked new ideas for interesting angles however, after I'd drawn these sequences I felt that the piece would not be able to capture the attention for 3 minutes and get across a sense of place.
